Pink Phlox

... pink phlox in a blue bottle

... all night long your wild petals fall

  1. Lovely, Teresa. Have you ever heard the petals fall? It is, for me and strangely enough, comforting.

  2. There is, considering the simple elegance of metaphorical objects in the poem, a surprising amount of passion. I'm moved in a way that is not entirely conscious. Good work!

  3. "wild petals" is a novel way to express the idea of falling petals. Nice job!

  4. I love this, and I came back to tell you so. Something about "wild petals" falling evokes a sense of passionate nights I don't even remember specifically. Damn, lady, you've got skills!

  6. This poem speaks of fine elegance in color, moment and action. Falling petals highlighted strongly without the need to mention of the flower again. The wild petals fall humbly kissing Mother Earth, and that's a moment where the finest and grossest kiss each other. Superb!!
