Rain always is a wonderful excuse for slower, quiet days if it isn't imperative to get out and about. Rainy days, like snow days, seem to call for sorting, napping, baking. I love them.
So peaceful. I like what Geo said about quiet, private adjustments for a coming season. The season itself will bring demands, but getting ready, physically and mentally, is pretty much a quiet road.
This is a calming poem. The quiet, private adjustments we make for a coming season are such undemanding rituals. There is a gentle beauty in it.
