I'm reminded of Norse mythology in which 2 crows --Memory and Thought-- fly over the world from the tree of life. Odin worries about them: I fear for Thought, but fear much more for Memory.
How did a lover of mythology such as myself miss this one ... very interesting. The secrets I allude to, those of my inner self, my truest self are, I hope, found outside the realm of both ... :)
There's a little house I pass from time to time, where the owners really love kitschy yard art. They're awash in plaster squirrels, raccoons, and such. But just last week I noticed they had added two black crows to their fence. Perhaps those are your crows, apparently frozen, but actually flying the world when we're not looking.
