Ghosts of Our Ancestors

                   ... on rafts of sunlight

... floating down the river of dreams

  1. Poem and photo very attractive. Yet it is a bit eerie.

    1. The desire was to evoke a colorful dreamlike quality... eerie seems to fit. :) Thanks for commenting, Kate.

  2. I've often envisioned it as a bright and peaceful transition. I think this evokes the nature of the journey pretty succinctly.

  3. Amazing colors in this photo. Truly a river of dreams. I like the idea of our ancestors floating peacefully in this beautiful setting. Was it on your blog that I read about a dream of floating down a river with people on the banks? This picture triggered that memory, but it may not have been you ♥

    1. Yes, I thought it had that vivid dream quality, also...

Yes, it was my blog. It was called "The Land Along the River," and was about a dream I had. I'm glad you remembered.

  4. Dreams can be prophetic, at least for some. Perhaps you had a glimpse of another place, another dimension, or another tangent. Who's to say? What is clear is that your expression of this is serene, beautiful, and wishful. Shows your inner self.

    1. Bill, I have to say, the dream I referenced in the above comment felt prophetic, certainly very metaphoric for what seems to be happening. It also reflected my wise choice to acquire my own piece of land... I believe, as I have mentioned in several posts, we are all on a metaphoric river, some have gone around the bend ahead of us, but they are still here, on the river, and we are all returning to the sea, the Oneness from which we arrived and in truth have never really left ... IMHO :)

Thank you very much for that generous comment.
