A Walk with Buddy

                                                           ... summer afternoon

                                       ... pale blue sky

... half moon rises over meadow

The photograph is mine.

  1. All great haiku is simple ... the elegant noticing of the everyday ... Gorgeous photo and envisioning you walking here with Buddy lifts my weary spirit ...

  2. I love the composition of this photo and the way the tall tree in the middle curves to the right, continuing some of the shapes in the foreground.

    1. I love that you've articulated something I saw, but didn't really "see." Thank you so much...

    1. I have those smaller Norway pines and some that are much taller and older in the meadow itself. Yes, the smell, and the sound in the wind has always been enchanting...

  5. Even though it is commonplace whenever I see the moon during daylight hours I am struck by how odd it seems. One would think I'd get used to it eventually.

    1. It was hanging over the meadow the other day and I was again struck by how odd it seems. It feels, momentarily, as though I'm in a Magritte or Rousseau painting... There are many things I have't gotten used to, either, and maybe this is a good thing...
