A Bluebird's Empty Nest

  
                        ... a bluebird's empty nest rests in the corner of the attic
                                      
                                                       ... sometimes at night I hear it / slowly filling up with longing

    Longing is such an evocative word. That an empty nest in an attic yields such emotion speaks volumes. Beautiful!
