Oh, wonderful! I think that expression is likely to stay with me as our summer runs out (which I hope is still a long time away). One more cup of summer.
Amen to that sentiment. Nicely crafted poem. Just as I read this I can hear and see a pair of house sparrows flitting back and forth with small insects to feed several hungry mouths in my birdhouse. They have a job to do and by gosh they are committed to the task. I swear Teresa every post or poem you write hits me squarely in the past or the present. I like that. I like the calmness that it provides.
I was just watching one sitting on my railing with a small worm in her mouth en route home ... It's so fun to watch the birds and other little beings in their daily lives. Yes, they are committed ...
"One more cup of summer" Simply wonderful.

DeleteAn empty bowl just waiting to be filled with something wonderful. Loved the photo.
