A Morning in May

                                    ... chambray shirt sleeve

... waving from an old red pickup

                       ...that morning in May

... that morning when everything was possible

  1. Oh, nice. I felt my heart do a tiny jump of joy at the line "that morning when everything was possible." You definitely have a deep talent for these pieces.

  2. Chambray shirt sleeve.......there is something so perfect about simple shirts made out of woven cloth.

I love the transitions in this short poem; shirt sleeve blowing in the wind, an old red pickup, an may morning, and everything is possible. This is so well put together and artfully written! And a great photo!

    1. Chambray shirts are so practical, yet beautiful, and evoke a timelessness, although THAT sleeve evokes such specific memories ... :)

    2. Love the old car now at the top of the page. Did you take this photo? I like, especially, the split window in front. Classic!

    3. No, I didn't take the photo. Wish I had. I found it on Tumblr. Isn't it great? Yes, those split windows you rarely see. Thanks, Bill!

  3. I think many of us can identify a few such moments in our catalog of memories. It's a great feeling to trust and move with when it arrives. Beautiful :)

  4. O yes, there were such days for me too.
Everything was possible and then life intervened.

    1. And in the intervening I made choices that changed everything...

  5. Things were a lot simpler back then. Pick-up trucks with the windows rolled down. As they should be.
