The Way You Kissed Me

... the way you kissed me when we hadn't seen each other in years

... how ... in my hesitation you said

                                                                                     ... I think we've waited long enough

    1. It seems I have ... as time goes by I become more and more reclusive ... so good to hear from you.

  2. I've read this poem 5 or 6 times over the past couple days and, each time, memories take over. This is remarkable. You're perfecting a form here that is a distillate. You write the essence of a thing and by golly it works. My compliments and admiration.

  3. The pain and anguish untold, finally a place found for the heart to hold. Absence brings many things into the fondest fold.
