... the phone rings ... but this stone on my chest won't let me answer ... I sit quietly ... watch a sparrow build her nest above my door Image: Pier Toffoletti
Thank you, but no, the artist's name is noted at the bottom, Pier Toffoletti. I'm so pleased when the right image just seems to appear to me as I'm looking ... :)
Bottled emotions always tend to lock us down. No words, nor people can dissolve the burden. The best solution is to be a little submissive and embrace the natural world. Lovely verses. And, the painting of a woman in deep contemplation with many things running at the back of her mind fits well.
An eloquent, brooding sentiment, Teresa. Nests. Spring. Growth......
ReplyDeleteThank you so much ...
DeleteSuperb. No small tension in this. Powerful images conjured..
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ray. I so appreciate your comments.
DeleteWow. A powerful pairing of visual image and your words, which add other dimensions including a stone on one's chest.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to hear from you, Nancy ... thank you for commenting.
DeleteLovely imagery, Teresa, and I love the the watercolor, which is perfectly paired with your words. Did you paint it?
