In My Seventh Summer

... in my seventh summer ... barefoot at the well / I kneel

                       ... between the boards

... a tiny spot of sunlight ... on the water far below

  2. Wonderful.. a perfect distillation.. You know when you read a poem and the words fade, to be replaced by a crystal pure image alive in front of you? This.

  3. The choice of words are simple but with ample weight of a moment gone by stitched in between each. It's a really a wonder to think of a past and a future that never really exist in the now, but have tremendous influence on our lives. The marvel of life is endless and as long the mystery of time remain with the Cosmic Energy, that long this marvel shall last. For the unknown always intrigues. And, those sweet moments hidden in time, such as described here, have always nurtured a silent but lovely expansion within each of us. Loved this poem very much.

    1. My past sometimes feels like a dream I once had, as it should ... it is a marvelous thing.

"And those sweet moments hidden in time, such as described here, have always nurtured a silent but lovely expansion within each of us." So very true. Thank you so much for this ....
