Beautiful World

... standing in the meadow / awash in grief

                                                                        ... the beautiful world says
 ... stay here with us

                       ... mullein and thistle

                                                       ... brave bluebells still blooming

  1. A lovely poem --there are certainly lessons in courage to be learned in a meadow.

  2. The photo is glorious. Combined with your words, it suggests that courage and forbearance don't have to express themselves forcefully, or even combatively. Translucent and delicate, the bluebell blooms on.

  3. 'In and out those dusty bluebells..' is a street song in Glasgow. Girls sing it in playgrounds. Is it familiar in the US??

    1. Not that I'm aware of, Tony ... I'm afraid our playground songs lacked the beauty this one seems to have ... :)

Pretty sure that's it. The Glasgow girls have a dance they do to it.

  5. The fittest survives the odds, in pain they still gain, in pleasure they don't drown...they remain above all, living the life as it comes. Superb.
