Flying

... running across the granary roof to a hard landing

... he never got the hang of flying

... his angry feet forever weighing him down

  1. I was never able to get the hang of it either.

    1. I have, at times, been known to forget what I might have learned ...

  2. Oh dear; I'm reading this just before leaving to run some errands - and hoping I don't get to practice flying on the ice and snow that have visited us. Your words are magic, once again, Teresa.

  4. Thanks for giving me a big smile this morning. I have fond memories of jumping off roofs. My brother liked to pretend he was a stunt man in a western. He'd grab his imaginary gunshot wound and tumble off dramatically. :)

We didn't jump off the granary roof (too steep), but seeing that word makes me happy too. :)

    1. Weren't they good times?

There's something about a granary ... it still stands but not as I once imagined it to be.
