In Auvers

... in Auvers / beneath grey stone

            ... Vincent's bones

... I wonder if he still struggles

... with green ... and yellow

  1. Intensely provocative poem, which I've read 3 times and thought this: Vincent's time on earth was just as real as ours. His struggles remain in it --his contribution to art, thought, feeling and beauty. His essays at solution are his gift to the future. So yes, the struggle continues. Good thing too.

    1. Geo., you so often see what I see, and I'm so very grateful ... :)

  2. I'm imagining that his struggles, reflected in those colors, are still alive to this day (although they may no longer belong to him).

    1. I'm hoping he's found peace, in some form ...
