Penelope

      ... neighbor in the garden
... adrift on a sea ... of cabbages and broccoli

                ... from the porch
... penelope the calico watches and waits ...

    1. This is not the neighbor's car, but looks exactly like her... she is beautiful. Thank you.

    1. This is Penelope's "stand-in." Isn't she beautiful? Penelope was the name of Odysseus' wife ... who did some waiting of her own... :)

  4. Oh, Teresa, I've just had some time to catch up on your poems (I often stop by, though I don't comment). I love this poem of yours, and take it to heart, being, myself, a Penelope, who sometimes complains of being always having to wait. Sigh.

Your poetry is so beautiful, as are your images. Penny
