The Birth of Summer


                       ... held together by stolen spiderwebs

                                                                                               ... this tiny nest of moss and seeds
                                                     
                                       ... the hummingbird gives birth to summer

    I love this. Every part of creation being, in turn, its creator. A whole universe within that little hummingbird :)

    One of my favorite birds. These little guys and gals fly from Mexico to northern Minnesota. How do they do that? Nice poem. Nice photo.

      Isn't it amazing, Steven? I love these little beings. I have a feeder hanging from the porch, right outside the window by my kitchen table, where I'm sitting as I write this... :) Thank you so much...
