Yes, horses hugging the fence line. And I remember collecting apples in an old galvanized round washtub, just as you describe in a place called Apple Valley. Nice words and image here!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh. That is such a beautiful photo. A mix of perfect light and shadows. Look at those dents. That metal basket was made to be used, whether it be used to collect apples or bathe the dog. I can almost hear those metal handles clanging as you pick it up or set it down. The basket is just telling you that it is doing its job. I will bet those horses along the fence line are hoping you toss them an apple snack. Teresa, you knocked this one out of the park.
Thank you so much. I'm glad you like my photo. That was such a fun day. I have two of those tubs, left here by the previous owner. They sure have come in handy... I love your comments, those perfect sounds... What a lovely response. It's made me very happy.

ReplyDeleteApple Valley sounds like a nice place to be... Thanks, Bill!
DeletePerfect!!! I can just see those horses, swatting at flies. Love your photo.
ReplyDeleteThank You, Tmoon!
DeleteAnxious for summer, aren't you! Those apples look good. I see tiny ones now forming on our apple tree.
ReplyDeleteI am. We're now in Rain Country and that's okay, too. Those apples arrive earlier than the others. Very tasty.
DeleteLovely photo. I can smell the good old country air and see the horses running in the fields.
ReplyDeleteThank you. The trees are just now blossoming and it's such a beautiful sight.
