A Seafaring Stranger

                                                                                                                                          dream #2:

                                         ... a seafaring stranger

... left a crystalline vase on the beach

... your new world is inside he whispered

    1. Thank you, Jan. Isn't it a beautiful pot? It looks so at home there...

  2. Your words have captured something that I feel at the deepest level when I make a pot, and it is probably the thing that urges me to make more.

With potting there is first the making, then there is a time of surrender. The pot is given to the fire, and is reborn there and made complete. When I take a still warm pot from the kiln I feel that I hold a new world in my hands. A new life. I suspect that you may feel this way when you form a poem on a page.

    Thank you so much Teresa.

    1. Peter, I am so happy my words captured the very idea of creating you describe here so beautifully, and how wonderful that we both knew something lovely would emerge in this collaboration. Yes, the creation of a new life ... exactly. Thank you!

  3. The photo and the verse are just the right complement to the pot.

  4. That's beautiful. A wonderful example of how the right words can enhance and deepen one's appreciation of an image. I admired the pot and the photograph before, but now I love it.
