One Day

... one day you're talking to your dead mother

                        ... next day she's gone

... all your dead friends have moved on

... you're alone ..... no one to talk to but yourself

  1. Yes, one day it all becomes real, and sad, and we don't understand.

  2. They exist in their own times. I was there and my memory is still visited by their voices. Does the content of reality disappear with time? Perhaps not so quickly as our senses seek the future.

  3. A scenario feared by many, yet it is fast becoming a reality in the current world. With people running far from family ties leaving the sick and aged behind, what else can we expect from this world?. Only loneliness. Nice picture. And beautiful verses, sad though!

    1. The world is changing and the thin veil is starting to feel more protective of those who've passed, and I don't blame them. :)

Thanks for commenting, good to see you again.

  4. A sadness in your words; words that I find myself growing closer and closer to.

    1. I used to feel the presence of loved ones who've passed on, but lately they seem more elusive. Perhaps due more to me than them, but the world feels less friendly ...

Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Penny.
