Climbing the Great Wall

                                              last night

                                              a black bear

                                              ran

                                              through the roses

again, I was a Tibetan boy

                                              climbing

                                              the Great Wall

  1. The subconscious assumes many forms in dream and expresses much in metaphor. This poem has that feeling, that atmosphere, and I am still learning its language. Strange, because it's part of how the mind speaks to itself.

    1. If it's any consolation, this is still a mystery to me also ... the dream and the reality of a bear having run through the roses the same night seemed an intriguing juxtaposition, one I could not articulate in any other way ... I feel it on a level beyond language and hope it somehow conveys the mystery that remains.

      Thanks for commenting, Geo.

Life and dreams are a mystery.
    Have a great day! :)

    1. Yes, this was an odd juxtaposition. I have a feeling this older post popped back up again, but I'm glad it did. It's a personal favorite and I'm happy for your comment. :)
