  1. This was written from the inside out; went directly to the kid in my head. I believe you speak directly the whole reader. Consider yourself hugged. I do!

  2. Been there. Done that. Reminded me of why I try to stay away from feeling lonely. Over the years I've finally realized I feel most alone when surrounded by a large crown of busy people.

    1. I am finding more and more the reclusive life I've chosen fits me best ... people who become part of groups become something other than themselves, cliques are always dangerous things ... for everyone. Thank you so much for commenting.

  3. What is there of value that a person who does not get along well alone could possibly bring to a group of people?

  4. It is a very common malady. Our sweet 14-year-old dog, Maggi, recently died, and our son's dog who stays often with us has been exhibiting loneliness behavior; she obviously is grieving. Both grieving and loneliness are feelings shared not only by humans but other living organisms also.

    1. I was wondering how you're doing with your loss, and a dog who grieves as well ... yes, we underestimate their loss ...

  5. We enjoy solitude, and it is a state of mind; but loneliness is of emotion and a need for companionship. If we are free from that longing, we are half-way in winning this life.

'Caving in' sums up the agony of loneliness.

    1. Thank you for commenting. I am never lonely anymore. I live a rather quiet life of solitude but it's now a choice. It wasn't always so ...
