Listening For Crows

... rising from the meadow / morning mist

... we follow coyote's footprints listening for crows

                                            ... this curiously quiet winter

  1. What a lovely photo. Funny to see winter mentioned, when the image is so warm and inviting. I've not heard a crow in ages. Perhaps I should listen harder.

  2. Timely poem! All summer long, I saw crows flying west. Monday-Tuesday I in San Francisco and they were there --a raucous flock on every seaside roof. Norse mythology aside, they go where the food is.

    1. Yes, the field has been so alive with the sound of crows and it's quite a sound this time of year ...
