I had so enjoyed seeing them sit on the feeder and on the ornamental crab tree, feasting on those red "berries." It was so hard to see their wings as all that remains.
The circle of life can only be seen through eyes that lead to an open heart. The loss of one life, in this case, holds sustenance and survival for another. Death begets life as it is often said.

DeleteThere is a part of nature that isn't all that pretty, but it's reality, it works. Still there's always that sadness...
ReplyDeleteI have become too sensitive to these realities. I love seeing the wildlife alive, but sometimes it becomes part of the food chain.
