Family Farm

                                                                                                               
                                                        another fall
                                                        we sleep in an upstairs bedroom

                                                         on  your family's abandoned farm
                                                        your uncle's car in the driveway

                                                         bringing chili, cornbread, and gin

    I feel, from the menu --on either side of the cornbread-- that something is about to happen. There is a gastronomic metaphor at work here.
