... running through the woods in a yellow dress
... mark beside me / looking at my bare feet
... how do you do that
... I laugh ... and just keep running

This reminded me, when I was a kid one of the best days of the year came sometime in June when my mother would announce that it was now warm enough to go barefooted.
ReplyDeleteAll summer long, as soon as possible and as late as possible. I still spend my summers barefoot ... :)
DeleteLovely. It probably starts early...some babies shriek with horror when grass touches their bare feet for the first time, and others shriek with delight.
ReplyDeleteI cannot recall many times when I wore shoes as a child. I remember the summers mostly and they were always in bare feet.
DeleteDear Teresa, deep down there is within you a wellspring of beauty. Peace.
ReplyDeleteDee, what as wonderful thing to say ... I so hope that is true ... perhaps paying attention is all that's required ... Thank you so much.
DeleteThis is so full of life!
ReplyDeleteIt came out of my childhood, but also a specific childhood memory that has remained with me for a whole lot of years... :) Thanks, Bill.
DeleteReminds me of the days when you were free to run with the wind and to venture out...
ReplyDeleteI live in the country, so I still do, every chance I get... :)
DeleteThat photograph reminds me of Maxfield Parrish, and leads me on to my favorite place in Sedona. Happy thoughts and lovely images!
ReplyDeleteWould Mark think this song is about him ? :)
Maxfield Parrish and Sedona ... nice combo ... :)
DeleteI want to think our memories are the same, but I doubt that's ever true of two people ...
