  2. Funny...I have never been in to poetry. Long ones bore me, and those are the ones that have always been introduced to me. I eventually just gave up on them. Decided that poetry just isn't me... I get these!! and I love, love this one! Yay!

  3. Wow, does that bring back memories of just such a well at my grandparents when I was about the size of that little gal!

    1. Put some trees around that well, and you'd have me at our pump, drawing water... we didn't have running water until I was about ten.

  4. Just found this additional blog of yours, Teresa. I'll link it on my own blog. Is the header artwork of Jonathan Green, Gullah artist extraordinare from Charleston, SC? I LOVE his paintings. Have you seen the illustrations in the cookbook, Gullah Cuisine. Remarkable!

    1. Thank you, Kate! so glad you found me here. Yes, it is the same artist. Isn't he wonderful? I'm not aware of the cookbook, but for several years I bought a calender that showcased his art and I love every single painting. I will look for that cookbook. I love reading them and trying new food.
