My Mother

                                          ... my mother is gone

... still ... there is the red winged blackbird

... who arrives with the last snow of spring

... spends summer along the river

The photograph is mine.

    1. They add so much to my days ... a nearby marsh comes alive with them every spring. Thank you.

  4. Your words have so many meanings for me -- like the black bird on the late snowy branches -- barbara
