Your note to him on the back
He handed it to me on your front porch
The summer before he died
Insisted I have it
Now you're gone too
And the photo?
It's where it was meant to be
I think he knew that when he gave it to me
Your note to him on the back
He handed it to me on your front porch
The summer before he died
Insisted I have it
Now you're gone too
And the photo?
It's where it was meant to be
I think he knew that when he gave it to me
I think he did too Teresa
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to hear from you. I appreciate your comment. :)
DeleteYou are more than welcome. I hope you are good.
DeleteThings are good here. Peaceful. I hope things are good for you, as well, and you're still having adventures. I miss our community of bloggers. Some fine folks there. Hearing from you is a nice reminder of those times. :)
DeleteI'm glad for you! I am still getting done at 72. In Colorado now but spend more time in Mexico and have permanent residency. Puerto Vallarta has been more my home than here. Sure as hell isn't nirvana but for me it's better. I miss the blogging too. It's very hard for me as a child of the 60's to see what my country has become in a few short years. New words are needed for what is happening. Enjoy the warm Teresa and how I miss the food!
DeleteLike you, I'm very concerned for this country. I'm glad you've found a good place to be. You take care. Thanks so much for stopping by. :)
DeleteVery touching, Teresa.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
DeleteWhoa. It has been a long minute since I have visited your poetry. I've missed a lot.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. :)
