and vibrant breath it is
The colors are hanging in there .... It's been a beautiful warm autumn.
My marigolds are gone now. I'm afraid they left to make room for the icicles that will descend from above their window box.
Sounds like winter is on the move. We had a thunderstorm last night ... still fairly warm. I'm enjoying autumn but there's something nice about that first snowfall.
Such nice alliteration, and a slow, easy rhythm -- just like autumn's coming.
Thank you so much for commenting .... autumn is such a special time of year ...
"the mushrooms ... the maples . . . the marigolds " You have sung the song of my garden, Teresa, and they have that late mid-season look that warns of a leaving. This is beautiful.
Thank you so much, Penny. It's been a beautiful fall ... so good to see you ... :)
Was eleven degrees when I got up this morning and we have a smidgen of snow on the ground. It is winter up here, past the last breath, and the leaves are off the trees. Was a beautiful autumn, though. :)Lovely poem.
Yeah, it's gotten quite cold .... blech. I'm not ready for the cold. But, thanks so much for reading this and commenting, Rita. :)
Beautifully written! A good memory, going into winter.
Thank you. I love autumn.
