          ... you still sleeping, Gary Snyder?

                                                              ... come, take away this dismay / help me feed these horses

    Beautiful. I looked up Gary and he's still with us, as is Jerry Brown who got in trouble sending a Highway Patrol car to fetch Snyder for a awards assembly in the '70s because Gary's car wouldn't start. I guess old governors and old poets never die ---we just smell like it sometimes.
