  2. That dark volcanic glass seems to have formed a permanent layer of human psyche. Would it were otherwise. War is no longer defensive, but a failure of reason.

    1. That's a wonderful way of expressing what I believe to be true. It is very much a part of my psyche and I think everyone's psyche whether fully aware or not. I've spent a great deal of time in the SW among ruins where it's ubiquitous.
